"I want to let you know that you have to be the most polite person with whom I have ever corresponded. It was a pleasure doing business with you."
We at Katahdin Studio Furniture are designers and builders of custom handcrafted specialty furnishings for the music room, the home office, and for every other room of your residence. Our work is commissioned world-wide... often by a celebrity clientele. We have placed our work in the homes of Melissa Etheridge, Andy Griffith and Steve Miller. Our work can also be seen every week night on the set of the Conan O'Brien Show.
Established in 1997, we are now recognized as a resource, rather than merely a vendor. Clients and architects seek us out to solve demanding utilitarian and aesthetic challenges. Katahdin Studio pieces are found not only in the finest of homes, but also in the prestigious architectural environments of corporate headquarters, museums, and houses of worship throughout the country.
Each one of our pieces is bench crafted one-at-a time right here in Maine. They all possess an honest and unpretentious character… and integrate well with a wide variety of decors and motifs.
We provide a trade discount to interior decorators and architects.
The photo above is an "Asian Modern Tea Table" crafted for a Japanese Tea Room. The piece to the left is the endowment bookcase we made for the Auburn Maine Public Library. The Portland Museum of Art commissioned Katahdin Studio Furniture to provide custom seating, surfaces, and storage for a significant remodeling project.
We stand ready to work with you to create a personalized and stunning piece of furniture that will accommodate your exact requirements.
